Community Care Units, Outer East
FIMMA Constructions was invited to tender for these new Community Care Units in January 2020. The scope of works included demolition of an existing dwelling, followed by construction of the new facility, comprising an Administration building, multiple single storey brick veneer units, an outdoor play area, car parking, and associated civil and landscaping works.
The Administration building includes an inviting foyer and waiting area, meeting room, two interview rooms, a multipurpose room, DDA compliant amenities, staff office facility for up to ten staff and a separate staff respite zone with a tearoom and access to a private deck.
The Community Care Units feature natural tones and materials to provide a welcoming, relaxed, homelike atmosphere for the end user. Units comprise either one, two or three bedrooms, kitchen, meals and lounge area, bathroom and laundry facilities, and a small private garden.
