About Us

FIMMA is a progressive, privately-owned, Australian construction company founded by five directors, after whose first name initials the company was named.  Our new logo is respectful of the company’s history whilst recognising the significance of Ivan Korosa, the “I” in FIMMA, who has been the sole Director since 1992, steering the company to where it is now.

FIMMA has been in operation since 1986 and has since grown into a diverse organisation dedicated to delivering projects to the satisfaction of both client and consultants. We are proud of our success and ability to understand our client’s unique requirements which enables positive and co-operative working relationships. Our team is made up of highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in the construction industry; their wealth of knowledge enables our team to bring high levels of technical experience to any project we undertake, and to proudly mentor our employees through their careers.

With over 30 years of construction experience, our capabilities are demonstrated on every project with successfully completed projects in the Commercial, Educational, Health, Community, Institutional and Industrial sectors. FIMMA is also registered with the Government's Department of Infrastructure as a pre-qualified contractor.

Leadership Team

Ivan Korosa

Managing Director

Founding Director in 1986 Ivan is a qualified Engineering professional with over 40 years' experience in the construction industry. Commencing his career after graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from Swinburne University, with W.P.L. Industries Pty. Ltd. (later to become), I.CA.L. (Internal Combustion Australia Ltd) and then Transfield Pty. Ltd. Ivan gained valuable experience working within corporate environments on complex and challenging projects. During his career he has worked on numerous projects in Education, Churches, Melbourne Airport Infrastructure, Rail, Hospitality, Community, Hospitals, Health and Aged Care.

Adrian Seymour

General Manager

Adrian has over 40 years' experience managing numerous projects in the Health, Aged Care, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Food and Beverage sectors ranging in value up to $86m.  His experience includes conceptual design co-ordination, management of design consultant, co-ordination with planning authorities, management of sub-contractors and financial accountabilty to the client and company manangement. A natural mentor, Adrian has been instrumental in the development and growth of our team. His passion and commitment are second to none.

Gerard Harkins

Construction Manager

Gerard has worked in the construction industry for over 40 years' with vast experience in Health and Aged Care, Commercial, Industrial and Education sectors. Gerard's in-depth knowledge of commercial construction and methodical work enables him to lead and support the team to build safely and to ensure that the project is not exposed to potential risks. Most importantly he can identify these issues well in advance and ensure they are eliminated or their impact is minimal. He has the utmost project dedication, professionalism and extensive knowledge; striving to provide each member of the team with a great leader whom they and their clients can trust and respect.
