The in-ground hydrotherapy pool and spa shells were the focal point of this project for Monash Health. State-of-the-art services were designed to maintain the building and the pool; these included solar and gas fired boilers for heating the pool in all conditions. While the main air management is carried out by a combination of evaporative cooling and gas fired heating to control condensation in the air generated by the pool proper. Quality of the water is managed through a balance tank, media filter and automatic chemical dosing to ensure consistency day in day out.

The design of the building has aluminium windows to the Aquatic Learning Centre including various coloured Perspex panels; this results in a multitude of coloured light within concourse areas. The remaining façade is made up of a veneer construction of both brick and concrete blocks, Colorbond steel sheeting and texture coated fibre cement.
