Elsternwick Park Pavilion No.1
Building the home of the Victorian Amateur Football Associations head office, for repeat client Bayside City Council, was a project that had FIMMA complete the new 2 storey concrete and steel superstructure before demolishing the existing building. This ensured full use of the sporting grounds were maintained with minimal impact.
Externally, the intricate façade with patterned brickwork, metal, and aluminium cladding along with expansive glazed areas enable the grounds to be showcased from the function area. A bespoke sunshade system assists with managing glare for those watching from within.
Internally, the modern design houses the kitchen and bar which supports the function area. Local sporting teams are fully catered for with new change room amenities, showers for both home and away teams, separate umpire spaces and storerooms for equipment. Environmentally efficient services were used throughout the new build which included recycled water, solar and waste management.
